monday blues

Today, I’ve gone working back in the office. BG was crying when I left. I had to be strong. She’s no longer a baby, I said to myself. She had to face the reality that both of her parents are working. (Alright, I left with a heavy heart.)

It felt kind of weird to go out of the house in the middle of the day. And my feet have been wearing flipflops for a long time now, I think these two have forgotten how to walk in shoes.

When I entered the office, I saw a lot of new faces. I started feeling like the new hire. I felt shy while getting my chocolate drink from the pantry. Although the colorful sofa and lightings are all familiar, I don’t know anybody in there. I even thought they were from another floor.

But of course, the connection is way too faster. ;) Plus, some officemates told me I am thinner now. (I didn’t expect this ‘coz even if I lost pounds after the operation, I’ve gained them back lately.)

Geez. I’m not as happy as I seem to be. But I guess, you’ll just have to appreciate the things that come your way. At least I got a job.

bright sunshiny day

Yes this is how I would describe the weather today, complete contrast to that one yesterday.

But what exactly this post is about, is not the weather. This is about a last song heard by one of our pizza night buddies on their way to our place last night and asked us what TV ad it was. She apparently can’t remember. I said it has something to do with a drink probably coffee. (Yeah, I can’t remember too) But hubby insisted it is a Nesvita TV ad.

Although this also reminds me of the movie “The Breakup”. At the ending, you’ll hear “I can see clearly now…”

I couldn’t get over it so I googled, but there seems nothing that points to an ad. So here I am, watching local channel just to catch it. Nyahaha.

“It’s gonna be a bright, bright, sunshiny day!”

just chillin’ at the office

IT people, they say, have very stressful lifestyles. I think multinational IT companies agree. In our company, so many activities are launched to achieve the so-called work-life balance. And on our client’s building, there’s a massage room, Nintendo Wii and even foosball at the pantry area.

But the coolest I’ve seen so far is the Google office. C’mon join me in drooling. :)

This is the receiving/waiting area:

This is one of the work areas:

And if you want to work alone:

But if you want to rest from too much stress:

Happy weekend everyone!

broadcast them all

Another sweet discovery.

There are several applications at Facebook that allows you to display your blog feeds on your profile. How cool is that? So if you are maintaining more than one blog and would want them all to display on your profile, all you need to do is add this RSS reader App. (Yes, even your blogs from your friendster and multiply.)

More exposure, more traffic. Sweet. ;)

my cyberlife

Aside from work, I use the internet a lot to:
- connect with old friends, former classmates and officemates.
- Browse forums and galleries
- Download freebies
- Google needed information
- Know the latest scoop about my favorite celebs
- Check fashion of my favorite people
- And of course, Shop (and window shop)

What’s your story? :)

Sony M1: consumer’s review

We are owners of Sony-M1 for more than 3 years now. Although I’m not sure about the Sony-M2, let me share with you some of my frustrations. I will never recommend this to anyone, really.

  • It works well on well-lit places, but not on dark places. This was taken without any lights on and blinds closed but at noontime! Geez!
  • There’s no available flash that you can connect/add to it. So when out on a bar or bonfire, this digicam is hopeless.
  • If we set it to take brighter pictures (the candle icon), it will be all blurry. Unless, it is a non-moving object and you’re using a tripod.
  • Yes, tripod. We need a tripod to make use of the timer. ‘Coz unlike most digicams, you can not just put this on top of a flat surface. Although, sometimes, I appreciate it since it just looks like a mobile phone.
  • Oh, let me not start about that station as they call it (to charge it and connect with a PC or TV)
  • Too pricey for its quality (or lack of it).

But there is a reason I can not part with this digicam.

  • The videos (MPEG4 format) are just fantastic! Just like with photos, I take videos of BG too.

Because of this model alone, we won’t buy any Sony camera anymore. Point-and-shoot and DSLR alike.

where are the mojos?

wait, I am tagged as blogger-happy. Shouldn’t I be living up to the name? I should be flooding this page with my entries of my views on things, events and other seemingly non-sensical-but-nevertheless-interests-me topics.

I’m not sure why but during the day while I am busy working or while playing/studying with BG, my mind will be filled with things to blog about. But when the night comes, when everybody’s sleeping, and I finally have my free time, I can no longer think of anything to blog about. I feel that what I have thought of blogging earlier that day is no longer blog-worthy. Tsk, tsk.

So where are the mojos?
