Just today, I had a chat with a friend. She said that I look thinner on my pics. This made me happy, of course. At least I won’t have a hard time watching my diet for the next couple of months till my sister’s wedding. Haha.

My mom offered to pay for my gown on that event. I declined the offer simply because the schedule (this couturier hardly accepts appointments on a weekend) conflicts with BG’s playschool. Guess what? I dreamt of it last night. I was waiting for my turn and saw my mom wearing a very sexy lacy white dress. And in my dream, she was young and thin. Hmm, maybe a premonition of what I’ll see on my sister’s wedding. But instead of my mom, it’s my sister being sexy, which would be a surprise because she’s not.

Yes, this blog is sporting a new look. I’ve changed the theme of my main blog and I figured I’d do the same here and with berryscrappy. I know, I know. I should use shades of green instead to live up to this blog’s name, CHI. But I think this blog contains more purple-looking topics. (Merong ganun? purple-looking topics? Bwahaha)

As I have expected the training was so boring. But I was surprised to know that it is a two-day training. I had to check my calendar and lo, I have two other trainings tomorrow. Good thing I remember the organizer telling me I could just call in for those two.

Free snacks were served in the morning and in the afternoon. It used to be that this training was held externally (in a posh hotel) with free snacks AND LUNCH. Since the company I’m working with had just purchased another company (Ooops, Is that a clue already huh?), the employees could feel some cutbacks are done.

Annoying. I better buy some acne treatments or I’d start popping these with my own bare hands. Tsk, tsk.

Hey, I have an idea. Why don’t you let the employees work from home Tuesdays to Fridays saving Mondays for meetings like we used to? Then you can cut back on our humongous electric bill. Just a thought.

It’s only 7am and I’m already here in the office. I have a 9am training and our car is banned today. Hence, hubby and I are both 2 hours early.

I am wondering how on earth I can concentrate on the training later. I’m too sleepy and I’m pretty sure it would be a “wordy” training. I don’t think my mind is ready to accept any additional information. Ho-hum. I better start researching on New York movers before my mind starts to wander again.

Is it just me or may berde talaga sa itaas? Namamalikmata lang ba ako? Tatlo na ba uli ang grado nitong si everydaychi? Kahit nanggigigil ako malaman kung paano at bakit, wag na lang. Baka masira pa ang ulo ko. Sabi nga, magpakasaya hangga’t nandiyan pa. Sige na nga, aminin ko na, gusto ko pa din malaman anong tunay na pormula niya.

Anyway, today is a holiday. Nothing much going on. Hubby and BG are taking their afternoon naps. I agreed to hubby’s request to start getting busy tomorrow morning for his birthday. Today will be our rest day. Fine with me, I am still tired from the wedding party we attended yesterday, still full I think. Haha.

I will blog about the wedding (with my bloopers and all, yikes!) when I get the pictures.

It’s Friday again! Hubby and I will go out with his team mates tonight to celebrate his (and another teammate’s) birthday in advance. Hubby has been asking me if I can come or not. You see, I told him I am unsure because BG has been guarding me. Hahaha. I told him I’d come if BG would let me.

What’s this brouhaha about the LV bags that it drives people to brag? Hahaha. Kidding. I understand the passion for bags. Although I am not the LV-type. I’m more of a Coach or Kate Spade type. You see, I like leather and I like them plain. Although I fell in love with some Coach patchwork bags.

Isn’t she a beauty? Hep, I don’t own this. Just so you know.

When we got home, I saw something in the car trunk beside the golf bags (which a friend had placed but forgot to unload). It’s a big plastic of corn bits. I asked hubby why he bought so many. He told me that the family of one of his teammates manufactures the corn bits. I smiled and asked hubby why this person is still working when he can just help with the family business. He is secured anyway. (The corn bits were so yummy!)

Actually this is no longer news around the company. A lot of young people, whose family have several flourishing businesses, work to earn their own money. They have several reasons. First, their parents are rich, not them. Second, some are just not interested with the family business. Third, some wanted to prove to their parents that they can stand on their own. Fourth, some said their family business is simply boring. Other reasons I do not know.

All I know is that these people are lucky. They will always have the family business as backup.

I know I know, it’s a wedding and it’s not ours so why are we so excited about it. First, we have an excuse to dress up in formal wear and our guys in suits. Second, this is another photo opp for the whole gang. Initially, the groom told us that it’s ok for the guys to wear barong for those who are not in the entourage. But it was agreed upon that the guys will be wearing coat and tie so we will all look good together in pictures. Yes. We are all willing to shell out money just for the pictures. Haha.

I have readied my makeup, Proactiv acne cream and jewelry for the event. Btw, I have found the perfect pair of shoes for my little dress.

Before I search for online auto insurance quote, let me share with you how my day went. It started really early. We went to Honda at 8am to get the estimate of our car’s repair needed for the police report. I kept looking at my watch as the insurer computes for it. I was in a hurry because I have a 10am appointment at the parlor. Hehe. Just before the insurer prints it, their network suddenly went offline. Sheeesh! So I just had to leave our fax number and off we went home.

At 10am, Maniya and I went to the parlor to have our hair treated. I took some pictures for the before and after.

Wondering why I was smiling on the “before” image but wasn’t on the “after” image? It’s because I feel that if I smile, it would just make my nose look even bigger. Hahaha. But yeah, I’m happy with my hair.

It’s Thursday again, and I’m dragging myself out of bed. I just had a great dream that hubby and I were enjoying several cruises. But when I woke up, the reality that I need to work in the office started to set in.

It used to be that my favorite days were Thursdays and Fridays, my work-from-home days. But a new role changed my schedule. I’ve been working from home Wednesdays and Fridays for several weeks now.

You could imagine how wearisome it could be. You need to be in the office for two days, work one day at home and be in the office again for a day, then finally enjoy home for 3 days. (Although this is so much better than going to the office 5x a week.) Good thing next week, my work-from-home days will be back to Thursdays and Fridays again.

BG doesn’t eat any strange food yet. Although she loves hotdogs, chicken, french fries, banana and chocolates. I think she loves eating. Haha. Although we try to limit her intake of chips which she has come to like too.

Let me just share with you a picture of her eating spaghetti. She doesn’t really like anyone helping her when she eats. And sometimes too, she’d rather use her hands instead of spoon and fork.

Yesterday, quite oddly, I was very happy with my work. I was able to find the root cause of one major issue that was raised a month ago. Finally! Investigating this particular issue has taken up my time. Finding the root cause made it easy to request for the development team to modify the application.

And today, I have resolved another major issue before lunchtime, attended a training after and going home now. Well, I just need to go to the bank to accompany my sister to open a Checking Account.

Issues and problems are starting to get resolved lessening stress. Surprisingly, I am quite happy with my work again.

The thing is, just this morning, I got an email from another company for a work-from-home opportunity. Geeez, now I’m confused, again.
