taken seriously

I didn’t know that a simple YM status could be very helpful. I am swamped with work today. So I have put on my status “busy validating”. Yes, nobody disturbed me today. :D

When I’m not that busy, I scan my list and check their status. I sometimes see funny and witty remarks. Some post links to funny videos.

And of course, some people post as a sarcastic answer to an equally sarcastic status. Who would have thought that a simple status can have a big impact on how people react. :)

yum yum

This week is so hectic! Yesterday was our company Christmas party. Imagine I had to finish one document that usually takes up 2-3 hours before I leave for the party. We had to go there early as to avoid heavy traffic. Anyway, I was able to finish the document in an hour. Whew!

Sharing a photo of the desserts. I’d say yummmmmmmy!!!

Go Pacman!

Today is Pacquiao vs Dela Hoya match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Every Filipino will be glued to the tube while silently praying for Pacquiao’s win. Last night, hubby and I even watched the 24/7 documentary on the two. It made us even more excited to watch. Just an hour to go (9pm EST) before the most awaited match.

Good luck Pacman! :D

act now

Most moms, in my opinion, have some sort of sideline job to help augment the family budget. Maintaining the family’s financial health can be tricky. Sometimes you loan for money just to cover another debt. And then, before you know it, you are deep in debt.

I saw the Debt Free, LCC site which can help you get out of debt. They have debt elimination and wealth building system. Whether you have credit card, mortgage, auto or student loans debt, this company can build a plan to help you pay off your debt in few years. You may download your customized roadmap to being debt-free. Try them now.

log out?

Yesterday, the original (twitter) meet-up time was between 12 noon and 1pm. But around that time, I was just still preparing. Because I am a late-riser, all I had before I left home was brunch. When I came to our meet-up place, they have finished eating. So I had to order a solo meal. They continued on chatting while I eat listening to their chat. We planned on hopping to Starbucks so that Joy and Aggie could connect to the net while we continue on bashing someone. Joke!

When it was time to go, I was supposed to say, “bill out na tayo“. But instead I said, “log out na tayo“.

Don’t you think I’m spending too much time in the cyberworld?

Here are some pics I grabbed from Litz’ flickr:

early birds

On my way to our meet-up, I realized how early it was. Yes, it is Friday but it used to be that at that hour, I am likely to be still in bed. Meet-ups were scheduled usually at 8pm the earliest. But now that mommies were meeting up, it wasn’t a night out. It was lunch and coffee meet-up.

It turned out that I wasn’t the only one who have this observation. One mom related that once she went out with friends on a late night to be “in” and cool. But instead of “chillaxin”, she was yawning at 10pm.

Expectedly, at 6pm, everyone was in a hurry to leave. ;)

whew!

At work, whenever someone has accomplished or done something in order for a certain issue to be resolved or a customer to be satisfied, other team mates sends an email to the team’s distribution list to say “Cheers!” or (Miley Cyrus’) “Bam!” to that person.

Since I am alone in the project, I rarely get one. The only time I did was when someone was assigned to do the pre-production while I do more of the technical stuff. She had BAM’ed me once. In the same way that I’ve BAM-ed her once (or twice) too.

But today, I’d like to give myself a BAM! Why? Because we’ve finally completed an issue which was 141 days past its deadline. Yeah too late but I still want to give myself a pat. ;)

So Thea:

That’s all. I need to be going now to search for cheap auto insurance. I wasn’t able to research on it earlier because I was swamped with work. But obviously, happy with work today. :)

Christmas came early

While I was busy with work, the help told me that someone is looking for me downstairs. I thought it was the air o swiss humidifiers that hubby might have (secretly) ordered. He has been planning to buy those.

But instead, it was:

I touched it and felt that the bag is big. Weeee! I was even surprised when I opened it.

I was so happy with my bag! And I have extra gifts too. There’s even one for BG. I was really touched that “mommy” even gave me a Christmas card. She’s so sweet. :)

Thank you “mommy”! Merry Christmas to you and your family too! :)

Note: I purposely hid the bag behind. I’d like to post a pic of it while it’s actually on my shoulder.

first

We are still charging the battery but hubby suggested we take some sample shots. I did. And I think I’d like to post the very first even with its absence of beauty and creativity.

Oh my, we need a prime lens.

new hobby perhaps?

Instead of our usual pizza night, the group decided to have kebab last night. We were invited by our friends to have a taste test. They have ventured on a small business opportunity.

Then one of the guys brought out his toy gun. He started taking to hubby. He offered hubby to try his toy gun at the backyard. Geez, hubby had a blast. He said that if hubby wants, he could borrow the extra gear and boots in case he wants to try it in a real play field. And it looks like hubby had found another expense, oops, I meant, recreation. ;)

ETA: Hubby read this entry and corrected me “it’s not a toy gun, it’s airsoft gun” Whatever!!!
