should start watching my weight

I have been eating a lot lately. Sometimes, I do even when not hungry but just plain bored. And now, I could feel the consequences, aka added pounds.

For one, I have no motivation to lose weight. No more swimming vacation to go to. Second, I noticed that I’ve been craving for soda more often than ever. Hubby and I have been planning to go back to the gym. It’s been years that I last used an elliptical or treadmill. If only, the gym could be more inviting than the comforts of our bed.

Just give me another month. I’ll start July 1st. No promises, though. ;)

the perfect photo for me

I was looking for the perfect photo, at least for my eyes. It shouldn’t be any photo that I myself took. It should be something that I admire elsewhere. It took me a while before finding one.

Only then, that I realized what my criteria are. I realized that I love pictures that are:
1. Candid – I like that the people aren’t looking into the camera
2. Family members or friends on it – better if they are busy with something like playing, talking with facial expressions or laughing or even crying
3. Colorful – it could be the blue skies, or even a white sleep number bed that is in the pictures. better yet, red or yellow shirt the subjects are wearing.
4. Clear, not noisy/grainy

Now, I need to know how to achieve my ideal photos myself. :D

few more tricks

An officemate decided to move on to another career. I was chosen to carry on whatever application-related role she will be leaving. And this week is the last of our transition.

While we were on it, we discover that we can download and use CS4. She tried installing the trial version just to check if she has enough computer memory to run such program. You see, aside from our transition, we sort of taught each other some other things. E.g. she taught me on how to use masking for my scrap pages while I taught her simple camera settings. :P

I’d say I learned a lot this week. ;)

online degree programs

I know people who have finished college but still feel they are in the wrong field. For some who couldn’t afford it then and could even afford not to work now, would want to finish a degree even just for self-fulfillment.

Now, it is so easy to finish a second degree or even a Master’s degree! There’s are online education degree programs at Capella University, an accredited university. You can study at your own free time and at your own pace! They have scholarships and grants to qualified applicants. Browse the site now for programs either by degree or by profession.

this Saturday

This weekend is so unpredictable. Hahaha.

First, husband and his team mates will have an outing. Husband says if they will stay overnight, he can’t bring me and Mikee along. But if it is just a day trip, my daughter and I could come. So there, that’s one possibility.

Second, if it is indeed an overnight thing, Mikee and I will attend a swimming party instead. It is a birthday celebration of her cousin, a daughter of hubby’s cousin. Although we’re not sure how we will get there.

Third, a mexican night with friends. This one I think Mikee and I will surely attend. Unless my daughter gets too tired from swimming or from being out with daddy and mommy the whole day (possibilities 1 & 2)

I sure hope even just one of these three gets realized.

drool

Have you seen it? You probably have. But I’m posting anyway, obviously from Perez Hilton.

Yes, drool… and get impatient.

I must admit I didn’t read the books. I saw the first movie and I can’t wait to watch the next. You watch and you just can’t help but fall madly in love again.

baby gifts

Going to a shower party, baptismal party, or a first birthday party? Or you simply want something for your baby? Why don’t you buy baby gifts?

I stumbled on this cute site, the nest shop where I saw cute Pajama sets, ultra nice brag tags, tub toys and so much more! It is so easy to shop. Everything is so neatly categorized. Categories include nap time, meal time and bath time among others. So many baby needs, you can find here!

And for photo addict moms like me, you can find tons of different frames and albums on the site too!

Of course, they have items on sale too! You can subscribe to their special offers and get a 10% off coupon. Shop now!

can’t get over it.

From the time we were deciding which SLR to buy, I’ve been blogging that we prefer Nikon over Canon.

Would it be such a crazy idea if we sell our Canon 450d with kit lens and 2 other Canon lenses to buy a brand new (but older model) Nikon d80?

This had been running through my mind, which is why I’ve been contemplating whether to buy the Canon version of my dream lens, or just the Sigma version. At least, I still could use it if in case we switch to Nikon. Sigh.

Bag of Beans

Last Saturday, husband was too tired to drive all the way back to the city after their basketball game. So we decided to stay for the night. The next day, I woke up early and started thinking about the family brunch.

I thought of Sonya’s but then, hubby eats veggies but will always want meat to go with it. Plus our daughter isn’t so much of a veggie eater too. And so we went to Bag of beans. Nice a bad second choice, though. :)

Photos of breakfast foods are both out of focus because I was too hungry not to dive in.

stock options

The company that I currently work for offers their employees stock options. In my opinion, this is a win-win situation. The employees advance their investment portfolios while the company is assured the employees work well to make the stocks go up the market.

Now expanding one’s investment portfolio is definitely a wise next step. There are several stock options in the market and Power Options can help you get started.
