the works of a crisis PR person

Just the other night, we were watching “dirt” on cable. It was an old episode where in the actress named Milan Carlton, who had so much similarities with Paris Hilton. There was a scene where the actress called a press conference all prim and proper, total opposite of the sexy outfits she usually wear on her wild night outs. These are the works of a crisis PR person.

This particular scene was what I remembered when I saw Katrina Halili on TV. She was filing a suit against Hayden Kho, who allegedly videotaped them while doing the deed. According to the news, whether Hayden circulated the video clips or not, he should be sued for taping his victims / ex-girlfriends without their knowledge and consent. Katrina was, when she filed the suit, all covered up speaking softly and crying. Not that I’m saying that the feelings were fake, it’s the get-up I was referrring to. This is the reason why you pay a crisis PR person, to make you look good and to get the sympathy of the people.

Anyway, these videos have created so much stir that now people are dashing to Quiapo just to get hold of the latest Pinay Scandal DVD. So far, there are other two victims/ex-girlfriends who had been taped while doing the deed with the doctor.

Daddies’ basketball game

As you know, we went to Tagaytay Highlands last Saturday. After going to the Animal Farm, we went to the sports plaza for the daddies’ basketball game.

Yes, I’ll admit, and I’m sure you knew, that I was sweating profusely inside the court. I kept going back and forth the powder room because I can’t decide whether to take off the blouse and just go with the sando or not.

Same reason why my daughter kept going back to the (air-conditioned) Wii room instead of cheering for her dad, she can’t bear the heat.

Sharing some photos:

Daddies playing catch, oops, I meant, basketball. :P

My daughter busy eating. :)

That’s me on the background trying to get in the frame/picture. Hahaha.

The beautiful mommy bloggers/photographers. :P

I know I promised lots of photos but like I said I was sweating and felt sticky the whole time so I can’t take pictures as much as I planned to, can’t even fully take care of Mikee. Sigh.

Oh well. Charged to experience. :D

I am swamped with things to do today. Glad that I’ve crossed some off my list by noon. I’m also working on Asia shift (instead of EMEA shift) today to make sure I have time later tonight to prepare for tomorrow’s outing. Unlike most of the mommies who are going, I haven’t packed a thing for tomorrow yet. I would rather spend more time packing the SLR than my sexy bra sets. I’ll bring my “wholesome” swimwear though but I doubt that I’ll swim.

What I will be doing for sure is take a lot of pictures… and have FUN!!! Hope everything goes well, and that my husband and daughter will have fun as much as I will. I hope it doesn’t rain. Keeping my fingers crossed.

holistic based rehab

Drug addiction can ruin not only one’s future but the lives of one’s family too. Oftentimes, an addiction was simply triggered by curiosity or by mere peer pressure. If only these people have been equipped with proper education, he/she could have been saved early on.

But for those who have become dependent, one can find a drug rehab which combines alternative medicine and treatment programs to get you off the addiction. Like the holistic-based Florida drug rehab clinic, CareFlorida. Programs include yoga, exercise, and meditation.

Tea & Therapy

Place: Tea & Therapy, Serendra

Last Friday, I met up with the MBAPs / mommy bloggers. The meet-up was specially organized for Apols who is currently in the country. At first, we ate pasta and a slice of cake each at Conti’s. I ordered coffee just to lessen that feeling of fullness from over eating. :P

Still, I felt full. They suggested we change venue. For one, we were too loud for the other customers at Conti’s. (That’s another story) Second, the place had become so crowded. I was thinking, wherever they decide to go, I’m ordering tea.

Well, we decided to go to Tea & Therapy. It wasn’t a bad idea, after all. I liked the tea. Plus the fact that we had the place only to ourselves. We took advantage we used the place as our studio. Hehehe.

Aside from the amazing tea selections, I just love the ambience. The sofa, the area rugs, the lighting, just perfect. I love it!

let’s drink to that!

I was too sleepy to take pictures when our team had a drinking session after our team planning. Too sleepy and yet, too stubborn to hit the sack. I enjoyed watching the others got drunk. :lol:

This was just one of the drinks concocted by our team lead. I think they have 3 types that night.

I refused to drink. I am not confident to drink if hubby is not around me. Not that I don’t trust my team mates. I just have my reasons. :)

~~~
These, on the other hand, aren’t drinks. They are vinegar in soda bottles as containers.
On our way home, I took a nap. And when I opened my eyes, I saw them. Hurriedly, I took my cam out and took this shot.
food trip
Last weekend, my brother/sisters-in law planned on going to the nearest university just to eat, well, street foods. They asked us if we wanted to join. But of course! :)
It was an hour before sunset and when we got there, I realized that I should have brought our camera. The bermuda grass behind the fishballs and dirty ice cream stands were perfect backdrop for my little daughter and other kids. Sigh. I missed a simple yet nice photo opportunity.
Anyway, I did enjoy eating with both hands (sans the heavy camera), I think I’ve eaten too much, I worry it might trigger my acne again. After eating fishballs and dirty ice cream, we were craving for quail eggs while my daughter kept asking for hotdogs. So we drove around to look for other food stalls. And yes we found one.
Then, we decided we want to show Mikee the fountain at the Techno Hub. Tsk, tsk, she was so afraid of it. So we played and bid our time at the Time Zone, instead, where hubby was able to snag two (super) small plush toys for Mikee. Only then that Mikee stopped whining. :P
Hmm, we actually ate fries from KFC and chicken/beef cielo kebab from Mr. Kebab before the night ended.
Geez, no wonder I kept gaining weight. :lol:
