Bag of Beans

Last Saturday, husband was too tired to drive all the way back to the city after their basketball game. So we decided to stay for the night. The next day, I woke up early and started thinking about the family brunch.

I thought of Sonya’s but then, hubby eats veggies but will always want meat to go with it. Plus our daughter isn’t so much of a veggie eater too. And so we went to Bag of beans. Nice a bad second choice, though. :)

Photos of breakfast foods are both out of focus because I was too hungry not to dive in.

Daddies’ basketball game

As you know, we went to Tagaytay Highlands last Saturday. After going to the Animal Farm, we went to the sports plaza for the daddies’ basketball game.

Yes, I’ll admit, and I’m sure you knew, that I was sweating profusely inside the court. I kept going back and forth the powder room because I can’t decide whether to take off the blouse and just go with the sando or not.

Same reason why my daughter kept going back to the (air-conditioned) Wii room instead of cheering for her dad, she can’t bear the heat.

Sharing some photos:

Daddies playing catch, oops, I meant, basketball. :P

My daughter busy eating. :)

That’s me on the background trying to get in the frame/picture. Hahaha.

The beautiful mommy bloggers/photographers. :P

I know I promised lots of photos but like I said I was sweating and felt sticky the whole time so I can’t take pictures as much as I planned to, can’t even fully take care of Mikee. Sigh.

Oh well. Charged to experience. :D

food trip

Last weekend, my brother/sisters-in law planned on going to the nearest university just to eat, well, street foods. They asked us if we wanted to join. But of course! :)

It was an hour before sunset and when we got there, I realized that I should have brought our camera. The bermuda grass behind the fishballs and dirty ice cream stands were perfect backdrop for my little daughter and other kids. Sigh. I missed a simple yet nice photo opportunity.

Anyway, I did enjoy eating with both hands (sans the heavy camera), I think I’ve eaten too much, I worry it might trigger my acne again. After eating fishballs and dirty ice cream, we were craving for quail eggs while my daughter kept asking for hotdogs. So we drove around to look for other food stalls. And yes we found one.

Then, we decided we want to show Mikee the fountain at the Techno Hub. Tsk, tsk, she was so afraid of it. So we played and bid our time at the Time Zone, instead, where hubby was able to snag two (super) small plush toys for Mikee. Only then that Mikee stopped whining. :P

Hmm, we actually ate fries from KFC and chicken/beef cielo kebab from Mr. Kebab before the night ended.

Geez, no wonder I kept gaining weight.

my sister’s trip

I have planned to pack our things for our Bohol trip several times but I haven’t done anything even just to list down the needed items. All I know is that we need comfortable clothes and flip-flops. Too bad I still can’t use my UGG boots that a friend from Australia gave me. It would be inappropriate. I’d probably use it to one out-of-town trip this year.

Or maybe I’ll ask my sister if she wants to borrow it on her business trip to the US. Yes, finally I could blog about it. Even if her business trip to Belgium didn’t push through, she was scheduled for one to the US. When one door closes, another opens. :)

lucky girl

Do you believe that some people are luckier than others? I do. Some people are lucky winning raffles all the time. I say this because my sister in law who sent a picture of Mikee to a Nickelodeon contest won something. It is a simple token, a strap lanyard (for cellphone).

Well of course you wouldn’t consider someone lucky just by winning a strap for your neck, right? But last Christmas, when they bought a new RC helicopter, she filled in some form at Toy Kingdom. And she won! Guess what she won this time? A laptop. :D

I told her to join all the contests she could find from her magazine subscriptions. Who knows, she could win Suunto watches for everyone. I even tried convincing her to play the lottery. ;)

for my dear aunties

Since I had the chance to finally resize the pictures, I am going to photo-spam my blogs tonight.
I’m posting pictures of my uncles and aunties for my other aunties who are living on other countries to see.

My father’s the one in black suit. :)

You might be wondering why one of my uncles look familiar. Hmm, you might remember him as Amante from the Mara Clara telenovela. ;)

reminders

My sister just got back from their honeymoon. We kidded asking them if they were able to make us a nephew or a niece. I advised her to be ready and to always eat healthy and be careful not to fall or be injured. You’ll never know when you’ll be blessed with a child. I read somewhere that cerebral palsy could be caused by an injury during early days of pregnancy. She reminded me that they have no plans yet to have a baby because she is off to Belgium for a work-related assignment for next year.

Then I reminded her of the sweet little things she could buy over at Zara for her darling niece at a very reasonable price. ;)

it runs in the family

Yesterday was yet another time to mingle with my equally beautiful cousins. (Yes, in spite of being ugly on those pictures, I still think I’m pretty hehehe) One cousin gave me a package of beauty products with Ephedrasil hardcore. This was because I once asked her what she has been using on her face because she looked radiant.

While two other cousins were the mothers of the two other flower girls in the entourage. Believe it or not, we didn’t agree on what we were to wear on the event but yesterday three of us were wearing purple. My reason for wearing purple was in case Mikee didn’t want to walk down the aisle I could accompany her without looking off (and still complementary to the wedding theme). It turned out, they were thinking of the same thing.
