Happy mothers’ day to all moms!

Happy mothers’ day to all moms!

I’ve been busy with work lately that I think I’ve started to stress myself out. I promised myself I’ll do some de-stressing this weekend.

For mothers’ day, we went to my parents’ house. My mom was happy with the unique gifts for her. :)

Since my parents’ date in Tagaytay didn’t push through, I thought I could use some booze before the liquor ban in time for the election. We tried Tanduay Ice this time instead of our favorite Gilbey’s Premium. Well, it tasted like a combination of 7-up and tin can (do you know that distinct taste of metal on your first sip of pineapple juice in can? that’s it). I’d still prefer Gilbey’s if only I didn’t grow tired of it.

We went to RW Casino again last night. And the husband proves to be lucky in these games. Let’s just say the money (we bet) multiplied by 6!!! :p

Universal Studios Singapore: Battlestar Galactica Human/Cylon

Battlestar Galactica has two tracks: Human (red) and Cylon (blue). I’m not really sure how different they are but they run simultaneously.

Photo is worth S$18, just take note though that each track has its own photo system.

It was fun watching it and taking videos of the rides. I thought we had to buy memory cards while we were there.

Husband was trying to convince me to try it since it was, according to him, scary only at the start. I refused. Too afraid to do it. Instead, I sat on the seat test and had my photo taken by husband.

jump!

While one application is being deployed to the operations team, an officemate showed me a video of her friend who bungee jumped at the Macau Tower. I was happy to see a sample video as the husband is planning to jump on Thursday. Yes he will jump, and I’m hoping that he won’t be complaining of any joint pain after the jump.

At least, I now know that my planned video-taking from below is perfect as the video (included in the package) will be taken from above (from one’s right). That way, both perspective will be covered. :D I just hope I get it right as the husband is only doing it once.

our “wants” list

Someone asked me why I stopped taking pictures. I did not stop. I am just taking a break. I started to feel that I need either a wide lens or a really good digital camera (there are good ones in the market for wide range). Plus, money for travel so I could explore more. That’s my setback. I chose not to give priority to this hobby in our budget. Well, like I said, it is my choice.

I’m being fair to my husband who I know would love to purchase his home entertainment system. For sure, he’s been picturing one LCD plasma on a flat panel mount. He even shared that he’d be motivated to run the treadmill in front of it.

Well, I think there’s time for everything. We’ll just have to wait. :D

he’s just not into it.

My husband is so lucky! He visited the palace and cathedral in Krakow. I was so envious! I love taking pictures of structures and what’s better than palaces and cathedrals? His officemates were just happy to take pictures with their digital cameras. And I was equally glad that my husband, who’s just too uninterested to take pictures, took some! Still, I know he would have taken better photos with our SLR, which in his opinion was too heavy and bulky for his trip. Wasn’t that just a little price to pay for high definition photos? Oh well. He wouldn’t understand. He’s just not into it.

missing hubby

Tonight, I am officially craving for ice cream. Thank goodness I stored it in the fridge downstairs. Had I put it here upstairs, I’d probably be feeling guilty by now. ;)

I’ve been craving for different foods lately, around midnight. Weird though, that when daylight comes, I no longer have the urge to buy them. Yeah, I always have the craving when it’s really inconvenient.

I miss the husband. He would have made my food delivery reach its minimum, no sweat. I will have no trouble deciding on what to order as he can always order my second choice, as his side dish. He would be going down, and get our orders once the delivery man rings the bell.

I miss him for other million things. I miss him sharing with me his annuity explanation. I sort of miss watching gazillion shows as he flips through channels, at about 15-second interval. And this morning, I noticed the reception of the kiddie shows (Disney and Nickelodeon) on our cable are pretty bad, he would have fixed that in a jiffy.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not crying or anything. Just a little heart tug when you reach at his side of the bed, and it’s empty. *sigh*

dream vacations

I was teasing hubby with his renewed passport because in 2 month’s time, his passport will have several stamps on it. He’d have Hong Kong, Macau and Poland (Schengen) stamps. No need to get his passport stamped on his side trips to Germany, Italy and Ireland using the same Schengen visa.

I told him I envy him and would like the family to visit other Asian countries next year. I’m thinking Thailand and Malaysia. Thailand for I’d like to try riding an elephant. Malaysia would be nice during Grand Prix season, so we could watch or even check out some Ferrari parts simply to ogle.

But if money is not an issue, France tops my European trip list while Japan tops my Asian trip list. :)

dinner date

The husband and I went out on a dinner date. As usual, we have over-ordered again. We ordered food enough to feed a group of 5. We actually tried to consume everything but we were so full and wanted to go home soon to our daughter, we opted to take out the last dish.

Good thing that I have the best weight loss supplement, I need not worry about any weight gain for the over eating that I did this week. :P

September would be nice.

It looks like hubby’s business trip is finally pushing through soon. I just hope and pray that it will NOT be in October especially 2nd week, when we are booked to go to Hongkong and Macau with his entire family.

He said that if that happens, he will book for Orlando vacations next year to make it up for me and our daughter. Nah! I still prefer that he comes with us this October. Although a business trip in October is way better than him not around in December for Christmas. Hmmm… Let me rephrase that. I just hope and pray that it will NOT be in October or December. :)

swimming tomorrow

Hubby was teasing me how excited I am about our Bohol trip. You see, we have another outing tomorrow too at Tanay with his team mates. Not that I’m not excited about that. It’s just that our Bohol trip would be BG’s first time to travel by plane, and that we are going not only as a family (the three of us with hubby’s brother and his wife) but also with friends.

I must admit I haven’t prepared anything for tomorrow’s swimming. I don’t intend to wear my new tankini there. Haha. All I did in preparation was back up all photos from our SLR to our external hard drive. I must give space for tomorrow’s photos. :)

a second honeymoon?

Just last week, we celebrated our 4th anniversary. We are planning to do something special on our 5th anniversary. After all, being together for 5 years is a special achievement for any marriage. While we are looking for Honeymoon and Anniversary packages, a friend suggested cancun honeymoons.

The packages include a candle-lit dinner, chilled bottle of champagne, and couples massage lesson among others. Choose among the El Dorado Suites and Azul Hotels which all give the romantic ambience you are looking for. Perfect for that relaxing setting you want for a getaway.

And while checking the site, participate in their ongoing contest (link on the lower right side) and win a 3D/2N stay. Check it out now.

they call it law of attraction

We checked out the all new Honda City yesterday. Hubby couldn’t resist the temptation. There were free hotdogs, fries and donuts. BG had fun at their play area while eating fries. And I was surprised to see a college acquaintance as one of the agents. He explained to hubby the technical specifications of the car. Hubby had to do a test drive and was smiling after. We asked for a quotation and filled in the pre-approval form.

My mind is now filled with computations. It’s not like we are just buying printers. It’s a new car! But then again, we got back to reality and remembered our priorities this year. ;)

saved by conflict

You probably heard about the ZestAir plane crashed in the Caticlan airport. I got the chills when I heard about it because just recently, hubby forwarded an email to me. It is the ZestAir promo to Boracay and the rates are really affordable with a tie-up to a new Triple A resort, the Patio Pacific. Apparently, their team was planning a trip to Boracay and had that pushed through, hubby will of course bring me and BG along to that trip.

The only reason that trip didn’t push through was that they were too many that they couldn’t agree on the dates. Whew! Good thing huh?

this was what happened

Yesterday, hubby and I were both ready to go to the wedding an hour earlier before the car coding scheme was to be lifted. When it was time to leave, the car wouldn’t start. It turned out that it was time to buy a new car battery. The van was there the battery of which, we could use to charge ours. The problem was the “series” to connect them was with my in-laws who were still out.

An hour later, they arrived. To make the long story short, we were able to leave the house. But when we arrived at EDSA Shangrila hotel, we asked where the Rizal ballroom is. Guess what? That ballroom is located at the Makati Shangrila hotel!!!

Expectedly, hubby was blaming me for not double-checking the invites. I have this habit of selective reading and listening. Hubby didn’t want to go to the wedding anymore, not only because we were already late but he was also worried that the car might not start again when it’s time to go home.

So hubby decided we just go out on a dinner date at Chili’s. Well, the night turned out fine, I guess. ;)
