How I wish I could revamp my wardrobe, not only my casual outfits but my corporate outfits as well. I’m still hesitant though, hoping to shed the unwanted pounds before buying anything. I read that this hcg diet protocol can help lose weight as much as one pound per day. So yes, there’s hope. Haha.

I’m guessing more than half of my clothes in the closet do not fit me anymore. It’s high time to have an overhaul as I’m pretty sure by the time I get back in shape, the clothes will be out of style. Tsk tsk.

Two weeks from now, we are going on another family trip. A friend who kindly offer to tour us around on our first day, told us, we can choose to go to an IT show, where gadgets and other exciting stuff like Ferrari parts are discounted. She warned me, however of the 7% tax. I declined telling that all I want to do for our day 1 is walk around the city leisurely and take some photos.

I’m pretty sure she’d find this weird. But after our vacation in Macau, I realized this is what I want in a vacation, leisurely doing things, without any hurries. Not to mention, we have a toddler in tow.

BG has received her Christmas wish from her auntie-la Chito: Baby Alive! When asked what her baby doll name is, she’d say “Alice” which I have no idea where she got.

I’d like to share the experience of our aunt while buying the said doll. Upon seeing BG’s shout-out at Facebook (more like my shout out for my husband), she promised she’ll be the one to buy the doll for her one and only grandchild. But upon checking the price before Christmas, she decided she’d wait for the after-holiday sale.

Sale around her place was last Dec 28th so she tried looking for the doll. Unfortunately, no more stock was available. She asked the saleslady where she could buy the doll, and found out that one store near her place still have stocks. Since it was late, she decided to buy the following day.

Early in the morning, she went to the store and saw that there were only two available dolls with a 50% discount sticker. But since it was a day after the sale, the POS systems read its full price, instead of the discounted one. She complained to the cashier that the stickers were confusing for the customers. With that, they gave her the discount.

When she looked back at the last doll, the salesmen were removing the discount sticker.

Parties are everywhere! Even if we have no work, we’ve been staying up late to attend get-together’s. I think dark circles are starting to show. I hope they’ll be minimized soon, after New year’s eve, maybe?

I’ve been busy shopping for gifts, and meeting up with friends. It is just so fun that for two weeks, it’s no work all play for me. Yes, shopping is definitely play.

I think we’re almost done with our shopping. But I have yet to find a Mulan costume for me, the hubby and the daughter. These are for our Disney-movie-themed family reunion. Good luck to us.

We went to Duty Free yesterday. There was ongoing promo where a dollar exchanges to 41 pesos only! But to my dismay, there was only one color and one size of the Long Champ folding bag that I am still contemplating on buying. And the color and size wasn’t even among my preferred ones.

The husband looked for safety products while I tried checking some more other bags. Good thing I didn’t buy any as the husband didn’t tell me he bought me an Esprit bag that was still in his luggage.

Our daughter was contented with her Disney princesses Smarties that she picked up herself. And the daddy can’t just say no.

While shopping around Hong Kong, I saw some interesting items like an old Mickey Mouse (as in the black and white version Mickey Mouse) luggage, or a Toy Story themed car seats and other auto accessories. It seems that Disney merchandise are not only available inside Disneyland but around Hong Kong.

Anyway, while we were in Disneyland, I had difficulty with my camera settings, because it was either gloomy or too sunny.

We had the mistake of standing in a place where we watch the parade against the sunlight. So either the photos are up front but washed out.

Or I wait for the subject to pass me by for the perfect lighting. Like this one, all I see is its behind.

The mommy bloggers have been shopping for nice yet affordable clothes lately. I was a bit reluctant because I was not sure about the fabric and how it would look on me. Well, 2 out of the 3 dresses that I originally chose passed the test. Hehehe.

I’m still looking for a nice tank top to match it to use it as a skirt.

MANGO is on 70% sale when we went to the Block to do our grocery shopping yesterday.

I went in to check the items. I saw one dress, it’s a checkered version of one favorite floral dress. With just one look at the dress, I know I’d like it. Actually it looks good on me ONLY IF I AM PREGNANT which by the way, I AM NOT. I looked at the price, and started saying things to myself like, “Blah! If I am indeed pregnant, this would be perfect” and “Blah! If I am not pregnant, I just need fat burners to help me shed off some pounds and this will be perfect!”

Yeah, justifications. Tsk, tsk. And yes, I bought the dress. I couldn’t resist it because like I said, I had its floral version (I bought at the original price) and it’s one of my favorites.

…And I thought I have such high EQ.

Btw, ALDO is on sale too. I dared NOT go in their store.

It’s raining again, quite expectedly. It’s the time of the year in this side of earth. I remember as a child I hated it so much that my socks and shoes got wet on the first day of school. The school bus was not allowed to park inside the school. It would have helped ensuring the kids stayed dry.

Now, I’m worried about our little girl. I still couldn’t drive and there’s no one to drive for us. So I’m thinking of buying her a raincoat and a pair of boots.

I’m thinking matching Plueys for me and BG.
It would definitely look cute on BG but on me, not sure. Hehehe.

ETA: No matching boots. But I like this for BG.

My sister has borrowed our Sony M1 digicam. Even if the videos taken from it are almost faultless, I have warned her that the photos can be disappointing most of the time. I told her she’d better be back before our Hongkong trip late this year or else, well, I have no point-and-shoot to use as a backup to our SLR. Hehehe.

Then I just thought I could buy a better model online and have it shipped to her. I will just have to wait for any digicam Sale while she’s on business trip. I want something that has a higher megapixel and can take videos. Like I said, I want something that could serve as a backup to our SLR. Plus, I like to start taking videos again and upload them to my YouTube account.

I read some reviews and I think I like either the Canon Powershot SD970 IS, or the SX200IS. (I had to blog this ‘coz I kept forgetting the models hahaha) There’s nothing wrong with some wishful thinking, right?

Earlier, I asked Peachy if we are buying some stuff over at ON. Then we started talking about some sales of dresses probably few weeks from now. So I changed my mind and decided to just wait for a sale.

As it turned out, it was a good decision ‘coz BG received several sets of clothes from hubby’s aunt from Dublin later today.

We’ll be calling her tonight toll free to thank her. Aside from the clothes, BG also received a musical night light. All these has saved me a whole lot of shopping!

I was in Greenhills last Friday. I went inside this camera shop looking for the affordable Canon lens. I was informed that it is out of stock. No surprise there because aside from that lens being as the most inexpensive type, this particular store offers it at a lower price.

I went to our department offsite cum coffeetalk at Valle Verde clubhouse. Afterwhich, I headed to Megamall to visit the Canon store. I was informed that they ran out of the lens too. Again, no surprise there. I checked another store, and again, same results.

I panicked. I asked my sister to google the contact number of this Canon store in Trinoma. I called the store and told them to reserve me one lens till 10pm that day.

I went back to Greenhills to meet with friends. I just thought I could buy a remote control for the camera so we went back in to the camera shop, the first that I visited that day. While asking the saleslady, she gave me this I-have-seen-you-before look, so I sort of explained to her that “Oh, I went in here earlier looking for a lens”.

She told me “Ma’am, we now have 2 of that lens just delivered to us, are you still interested to buy one?”

Enough said. Well, let’s just say, I bought something from that store, and it isn’t the remote control.

I was looking for a light-weight duffel bag. Something that would go along with the dress I’m going to use. All I remember is that it should be in the shade of brown. But I forgot that it has to go along with burnt orange as well.

Hmm, now I just realized that in this photo, the (closed) bag DOES look like it complements the dress. The circles are actually in dark cherry and brown. So you could imagine how the burnt orange clashes with the dark cherry.

But who cares? Aside from being light-weight, it is big enough to accommodate my things and BG’s.

Perfect!

I knew we need a pair of aqua shoes for BG. I could only imagine her getting irritated with the sand on her flipflops or shoes. So I thought it would be wise to check Speedo for it. Yup, they got aqua shoes for kids, alright. It’s a nice jelly shoes but has holes on the top that would allow sand to get in. Looks cute and durable but I can’t bring myself to spend P1450 on a pair of shoes that would likely be used only once.

Luckily, I found a cute pair at Landmark that only costs P250.

There were even Dora and Spongebob versions of this at 50% off! It’s just that they are both NOT available in BG’s size. It’s OK. P250 is still way lower than P1450.

Besides, they are so soft I think I could make bubbles if I chew it. Exag! Hehehe.
