online shopping or not?

Old Navy is offering $16 deals with free shipping on purchases worth $50 or more. I’m thinking if I should buy discounted men’s running shorts for the husband. But if I shop online for the husband’s stuff, I’d be guilty not buying the Cake Makin Station of Play Doh that Mikee has been asking for. I checked at Toy Kingdom and they do not sell them so I have no choice but to get them online or buy another type of Play Doh instead.

team photo

For this coming Christmas, I suddenly thought of simple tokens one can give to office mates or class mates. Key chains and name badges came to mind. But I’m leaning towards the foldable fans with the team’s photo for my office mates. Now the only thing to look for is a photo with everyone on it, and with me on it as well. That, or I’d set up another photo opp for the team. I’ll just wait for the next coffee talk. Presto!

for a change

Husband and I went shopping for his polo and a neck tie. But quite expectedly while we were looking for these items, husband was distracted by other very interesting items such as new release of his fave brand of rubber shoes, personalized basketballs and even dri-fit shirts. I reminded him to focus. While choosing for his polo and neck tie, I kept getting attracted to purple combinations, probably because I will be wearing a gray dress, and sure to be having a pinkish purple shade of makeup. Hehe. Good thing though that he insisted he’d been wearing different shades of purple for the last 4 or 5 weddings we attended he wanted a different color this time, because I suddenly remembered on our way home that the wedding we were attending to have a purple motif.

time to shop

I am again itching to buy lots of stuff online, BER months have started. I know anything I’d order now will arrive before or in time for Christmas. Perfect for the countless get-togethers and parties. I’m drooling over these pair of ugg boots but I only wished to buy them if we are pushing with our travel plans next year. So maybe, I’ll scratch it off my wishlist.

What I really like to buy is another play-doh set for my little girl. She had been wanting the ice cream set, but I told her to wait till Christmas. But I’m going to wait another month for her to decide. You know, kids can be fickle minded. Haha.

add some bling bling

I think I’ve come to a decision on what to wear to the wedding we are attending to this month. Haha. You see, I’ve been bugging my female friends to decide for me. I do not intend to buy something new and yet, I have limited choices.

Anyway, I decided to wear something simple. But I’d considering to pimp my accessories. One of those chic Marc Jacobs handbags, an elegant brooch and some more bling bling, I’d be good to go. Still, I haven’t found a nice formal pair of sandals/shoes to go with my dress. Boohoo.

wishing to fit in

How I wish I could revamp my wardrobe, not only my casual outfits but my corporate outfits as well. I’m still hesitant though, hoping to shed the unwanted pounds before buying anything. I read that this hcg diet protocol can help lose weight as much as one pound per day. So yes, there’s hope. Haha.

I’m guessing more than half of my clothes in the closet do not fit me anymore. It’s high time to have an overhaul as I’m pretty sure by the time I get back in shape, the clothes will be out of style. Tsk tsk.

want some leisure walk

Two weeks from now, we are going on another family trip. A friend who kindly offer to tour us around on our first day, told us, we can choose to go to an IT show, where gadgets and other exciting stuff like Ferrari parts are discounted. She warned me, however of the 7% tax. I declined telling that all I want to do for our day 1 is walk around the city leisurely and take some photos.

I’m pretty sure she’d find this weird. But after our vacation in Macau, I realized this is what I want in a vacation, leisurely doing things, without any hurries. Not to mention, we have a toddler in tow.

Mikee’s Christmas wish granted

Mikee has received her Christmas wish from her auntie-la Chito: Baby Alive! When asked what her baby doll name is, she’d say “Alice” which I have no idea where she got.

I’d like to share the experience of our aunt while buying the said doll. Upon seeing Mikee’s shout-out at Facebook (more like my shout out for my husband), she promised she’ll be the one to buy the doll for her one and only grandchild. But upon checking the price before Christmas, she decided she’d wait for the after-holiday sale.

Sale around her place was last Dec 28th so she tried looking for the doll. Unfortunately, no more stock was available. She asked the saleslady where she could buy the doll, and found out that one store near her place still have stocks. Since it was late, she decided to buy the following day.

Early in the morning, she went to the store and saw that there were only two available dolls with a 50% discount sticker. But since it was a day after the sale, the POS systems read its full price, instead of the discounted one. She complained to the cashier that the stickers were confusing for the customers. With that, they gave her the discount. :D

When she looked back at the last doll, the salesmen were removing the discount sticker. ;)

3 days to go…

Parties are everywhere! Even if we have no work, we’ve been staying up late to attend get-together’s. I think dark circles are starting to show. I hope they’ll be minimized soon, after New year’s eve, maybe? :)

I’ve been busy shopping for gifts, and meeting up with friends. It is just so fun that for two weeks, it’s no work all play for me. Yes, shopping is definitely play.

I think we’re almost done with our shopping. But I have yet to find a Mulan costume for me, the hubby and the daughter. These are for our Disney-movie-themed family reunion. Good luck to us.

duty free promo

We went to Duty Free yesterday. There was ongoing promo where a dollar exchanges to 41 pesos only! But to my dismay, there was only one color and one size of the Long Champ folding bag that I am still contemplating on buying. And the color and size wasn’t even among my preferred ones.

The husband looked for safety products while I tried checking some more other bags. Good thing I didn’t buy any as the husband didn’t tell me he bought me an Esprit bag that was still in his luggage.

Our daughter was contented with her Disney princesses Smarties that she picked up herself. And the daddy can’t just say no. ;)
