It looks like hubby’s business trip is finally pushing through soon. I just hope and pray that it will NOT be in October especially 2nd week, when we are booked to go to Hongkong and Macau with his entire family.

He said that if that happens, he will book for Orlando vacations next year to make it up for me and our daughter. Nah! I still prefer that he comes with us this October. Although a business trip in October is way better than him not around in December for Christmas. Hmmm… Let me rephrase that. I just hope and pray that it will NOT be in October or December.

Yesterday, hubby and I were both ready to go to the wedding an hour earlier before the car coding scheme was to be lifted. When it was time to leave, the car wouldn’t start. It turned out that it was time to buy a new car battery. The van was there the battery of which, we could use to charge ours. The problem was the “series” to connect them was with my in-laws who were still out.

An hour later, they arrived. To make the long story short, we were able to leave the house. But when we arrived at EDSA Shangrila hotel, we asked where the Rizal ballroom is. Guess what? That ballroom is located at the Makati Shangrila hotel!!!

Expectedly, hubby was blaming me for not double-checking the invites. I have this habit of selective reading and listening. Hubby didn’t want to go to the wedding anymore, not only because we were already late but he was also worried that the car might not start again when it’s time to go home.

So hubby decided we just go out on a dinner date at Chili’s. Well, the night turned out fine, I guess.

Hubby and I have agreed we could buy a new DSLR this December. So I was browsing for pictures of the model that we want. I wanted to know the appropriate prime lens so I texted my sister’s fiancee. Hubby’s birthday is fast approaching. I’m still thinking of a nice gift for him. If only we both have the luxury of time, I’ll opt to have a week-long vacation with him. A romantic getaway with the husband. But since we are both busy, I might just spend the day with him, give him a nice massage while wearing a nice Shirley of Hollywood lingerie. Hahaha. Don’t underestimate the power of a lingerie.

But seriously, we might have another get-together dinner at home. And knowing hubby, he’d be happy to have his relatives (especially his cousins) and friends to come over and get drunk! So now, my problem again, like with the other parties at home, is what to include in the menu. Oh well, I still have 4 weeks to think about it.

Woohoo, finally it’s Friday. I’m looking forward to be away from work for 2 days. I’m longing for the day that I’d quit my day job, to be stress-free.

But you see, I also kind of dread to be a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom) simply because I feel there’s too much expectation. People expect you to be great in cooking, baking, gardening and home management, which I think I am not. Although I’m not sure, I haven’t tried.

It excites me to think that I’d be waking up in the morning without worrying about any issues raised by anybody. Well, I guess, unless raised by my husband or daughter. Haha. That I’d go by the day spending time with my kid/s (yes, kids. I’d like to get pregnant again) and have my ME time when my kid/s are in school or taking their afternoon nap.

On the other hand, I’d like to enrol for a second degree, an online university degree perhaps in case I quit the job. I just want to empower myself.

I wonder when this day will come. All I know is, dreams do come true.

1. Finish work. I’ve started work late today because I knew that I need to be working till tomorrow morning. Geez!
2. Rest. And feel the fresh bed sheets that have gotten cold from the “bed” weather.
3. Party. Uhm, not a drink-like-crazy party but a very conservative reunion with hubby’s relatives. Now I better think of something to wear besides shorts.
4. Scrap. Got some kits that haven’t been used. Still in need of pictures to scrap. I should go out of the house more often. Tsk, tsk. (Too bad I missed going to our team outing in Fontana today. Still not allowed to go on long drives.)
